Norda Bar & Grill - Restaurant in Gothenburg
We envision a large, open kitchen that provides both a dynamic visual experience while establishing a connection to the food that is served. Our goal is not to create a typical white tablecloth dining room but, a lively, interactive and vibrant atmosphere. Furnishings and fixtures from the original Post House will be incorporated into our design. We foresee a grill-focused menu that will feature a daily roast along with superior quality meats and fish served in a rustic fashion. Entrees will be accompanied by hearty side dishes. Inspirations from American-style steakhouses will complement Goteborg’s world class seafood, offering a unique dining experience. Rotisseries, open grills, barbecues and prominently displayed meats will reinforce this theme, and provide a distinct visual experience. We would like to highlight and work with local purveyors as much as possible to encourage a sense of local community.
Our menu will focus on local fare with a farm-to-table approach. The proposed Wine Wall will be a majestic architectural design element that will draw attention and define the space—it will serve as a practical use as well as a visual, theatrical component. Lighting designers will find many creative ways to highlight wine hues thus creating a unique and colorful atmosphere.
